 Sponge iron is a kind of superior iron ore. It can be got by oxidation-reduction reaction. In sponge iron rotary kiln, vertical furnace and other reactor, iron ore and other iron ore concentrates are reduced in low temperature condition and becomes final products with multiple holes.

Structure of sponge iron rotary kiln 

  1. The kill head of sponge iron adopts cover and elastic steel slice for seal. There will be a less amount of cold air blown in to cool guard plate through horn mouth. After being heated, cold air will be discharged out from top. Through overlapped elastic steel slice, good seal performance can be guaranteed.
  2. Cylinder of sponge iron rotary kiln adopts Q235-B steel plate texture. Generally, automatic welding is used. The thickness of cylinder is 25mm, firing zone, 32mm and wheel belt is 65 mm there is a transition stage with a thickness of 38mm, which makes the design of rotary kiln cylinder more reasonable. In this way, the strength of intersection area and support device can be guaranteed.
  3. Transmission part adopts single driving. Three-stage cylindrical gear reducer is driven by frequency converter motor. Stable transmission device and auxiliary transmission device can make sure stable driving process.
  4. Sponge iron rotary kiln adopts graphite soft seal for rotary kiln tail, which makes installation simple and safe operation.

Application of sponge iron rotary kiln
Sponge iron rotary kiln is mainly applied to heating and calcining for metallurgy, building material industry and ore industry. There are some typical raw materials which can be roasted by sponge iron rotary kiln, such as sponge iron, grain sand, bauxite, limestone, cement, white material, glass stone, metal magnesium, alumina, aluminum hydroxide, fly ash, high alumina products and refractory materials.
